Liverpool Receive Major Injury Boost in Premier League Title Battle Against Arsenal and Man City

Liverpool received a significant injury boost in the Premier League race against Arsenal and Manchester City.

Liverpool’s quest for the Premier League crown receives a major injury boost as four players return to training, easing Jurgen Klopp’s concerns amidst a string of key absences.

The upcoming Europa League quarter-final against Atalanta at Anfield on Thursday precedes a pivotal clash with Manchester United on Sunday, with Klopp hinting at potential player comebacks ahead of the crucial encounters.

“Diogo and Trent are together in a group, which helps both, but it looks like from next week on, they will be hopefully in parts of team training,” he said.

“Ali is with the GK coaches, but [he] looks good as well. I think in his mind as well, next week parts of team training.

“Stefan [Bajcetic] trains now fully with the U21s this week,” Klopp also revealed. “That means we will take him in training next week to us and then we will see.

“He is another one coming [back] and that’s super-important.” Following on from Klopp’s comments, Alisson, Diogo Jota, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Stefan Bajcetic have all been captured back in training at Melwood.

Considering they have all missed the last few weeks at least, it seems unlikely that any of them will feature on Thursday. However, their return to training suggests they can each play a huge role in the run-in.

Bajcetic has been carefully brought back into contention, with the midfielder having played just 72 minutes this season.

Jota, on the other hand, has been out of action since February, with Alexander-Arnold and Alisson also being ruled out in the following weeks.

With the quartet now close to a return, only Ben Doak, Joel Matip, and Thiago Alcantara remain on Liverpool’s injury list, with Arsenal and Man City facing similar situations.

Currently, only Jurrien Timber is absent for Arsenal, with Bukayo Saka and Thomas Partey back, although the Dutch defender is back in training.

At the Etihad Stadium, Kyle Walker and Nathan Ake are absent due to muscular issues, with hope strong that Josko Gvardiol can feature again soon despite being subbed off at half time in this past weekend’s 4-2 win against Crystal Palace.
