Liverpool Injury Boost as Player Trains and Mac Allister Fears Eased Ahead of Arsenal Clash

Liverpool have received injury boost as one of the Reds’ key players was spotted in training on Friday.

Jurgen Klopp expressed uncertainty about his availability against Arsenal, but Darwin Nunez dispelled concerns regarding a foot injury as he participated in training today.

During his pre-match press conference on Friday morning, Klopp disclosed that Nunez had left Anfield wearing a protective boot earlier in the week, stating, “I don’t know if Darwin is available or not.”

Concerns arose about the No. 9 potentially missing the trip to the Emirates, and if absent, Cody Gakpo was poised to step in up front. However, later in the day, apprehensions were alleviated as footage of Nunez arriving for training surfaced on social media. It can now be confirmed that he actively participated in Friday’s session.

Nunez was among the 25 players captured in images, diligently training at the AXA Training Centre. Alexis Mac Allister, who had suffered a knee blow against Chelsea, was also part of the session.

A reassuring sight was Thiago rejoining full training, indicating positive progress. Additionally, it seems Kostas Tsimikas has been cleared for contact work following his collarbone injury.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Andy Robertson have all remained active following their recent returns from injury.

With Klopp’s injury concerns diminishing, the current absentees include Joel Matip, Mohamed Salah, Stefan Bajcetic, and Ben Doak, along with Wataru Endo, who is participating in the Asian Cup. Consequently, fewer academy players were featured.

The core players, including Jarell Quansah, Conor Bradley, Kaide Gordon, Bobby Clark, James McConnell, and goalkeeper Fabian Mrozek, were the primary contributors.

Notably, there are no reports of additional injuries within the squad, providing Klopp with a robust lineup for the upcoming journey to north London.
