Liverpool Eyeing Another Bayern Player After Securing Ryan Gravenberch – Will Be Out of Contract in the Summer

Liverpool are closely monitoring Joshua Kimmich’s situation at Bayern Munich, with Jurgen Klopp valuing him highly.

Liverpool are actively in the race for Kimmich’s signature should he become available, according to journalist Christian Falk.

Kimmich will enter the final year of his contract with Bayern in the summer and negotiations for an extension are yet to materialise. This uncertainty has triggered speculation about his future with the club.

In the absence of a contractual agreement, and with no current indications of one being imminent, Bayern face the prospect of selling Kimmich in the summer to avoid losing him on a free transfer.

This has attracted a growing list of suitors, considering Kimmich’s age of 28 and his considerable experience and success since joining Bayern from VfB Stuttgart in 2015.

Liverpool, among those monitoring the situation, are keen on a potential deal, according to Falk. This interest persists despite Liverpool’s ongoing efforts to completely revamp their midfield during the summer transfer window.

“He’s in the final year of his deal at Bayern and they would like to celebrate a purchase price rather than lose him for free,” he said.

“They could lose if he does not extend. And that’s where Manchester City and Liverpool come in. Thiago is always injured at Liverpool FC and his contract is running out, Henderson has left, there is a bit of space in midfield and Jurgen Klopp of course knows how important Kimmich is.

“Schmadtke, the sporting director, has good connections in the Bundesliga. So, Klopp is also now in the race for Kimmich.”
