Liverpool ‘Plan’ for Mohammed Kudus Transfer Emerges with Mohamed Salah Claim

Liverpool’s summer transfer activities are expected to intensify in the upcoming weeks.

Starting on Saturday, Arne Slot will officially take over as the head coach of Liverpool. This marks the end of Jurgen Klopp’s nearly nine-year tenure at the club. Slot now faces the challenge of guiding Liverpool to compete for major titles in the upcoming season.

Liverpool will be participating in the revamped Champions League and aiming to contend for the Premier League title. However, before the new season begins, the club is likely to have a very active transfer window.

In recent weeks, Liverpool have been linked with several potential new signings. The past 24 hours have seen a surge in reports about possible deals that the club might finalise before the transfer window closes.

Reports indicate that Liverpool are interested in acquiring West Ham’s Mohammed Kudus. According to Football Transfers, Kudus has emerged as a potential target for Liverpool as they seek to bolster their forward line.

Kudus is seen by Liverpool as a possible long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah on the right wing.

Recent reports suggest that Kudus might have an £85 million release clause in his contract with West Ham, following his move from Ajax last summer for £38 million.

Additionally, Mexico-based news outlet TV Azteca reports that Liverpool are also interested in Feyenoord striker Santiago Gimenez.

The report mentions that Liverpool face competition from Tottenham Hotspur, Southampton, and Leeds United, who also admire the striker.

Gimenez has spent the past two seasons at Feyenoord after joining from Cruz Azul in 2022, under the management of incoming Liverpool head coach Slot.

During his time with the Eredivisie club, Gimenez has scored 49 goals and provided 11 assists in 86 appearances.
