7 Duels Won: Sky Pundit Wowed by Liverpool-linked 23y/o Who Made 3 Key Passes in Saturday Win

Clinton Morrison expressed admiration for a reported Liverpool transfer target based on his recent performance.

The 44-year-old pundit appeared on Sky Sports’ Soccer Saturday and provided coverage of West Ham’s 3-1 victory over Luton. Mohammed Kudus, the player in question, assisted George Earthy for the decisive goal during the match.

Morrison praised the performance of the Ghanaian midfielder, who was acquired by West Ham for £38m. According to Dean Jones from GIVEMESPORT, Kudus is considered a potential target for Liverpool.

Speaking on Sky Sports after that concluding goal yesterday, Morrison said: “It’s Kudus, it’s all about Mohammed Kudus. He is some player, by the way. He just beats two or three, goes into the box, cuts it back and Earthy gets across the defender and puts it into the bottom corner.”

Kudus showcased an exceptional performance for West Ham during Saturday’s match, winning seven out of ten duels contested and achieving an impressive 88% pass success rate.

He also took five shots, completed three successful dribbles, delivered three key passes, and executed four long passes, as reported by Sofascore.

Throughout his debut season in England, the 23-year-old has consistently impressed, tallying 13 goals in 44 games for David Moyes’ team. Notably, he provided an assist for Jarrod Bowen’s goal in the Hammers’ 2-2 draw against Liverpool in late April.

While primarily deployed as a right winger, Kudus possesses the versatility to excel in various positions across the forward line or midfield, according to Transfermarkt.

Despite his relatively short tenure at the London Stadium, his outstanding performances are likely to attract significant interest this summer.

Liverpool’s decision-makers may perceive Kudus as a promising long-term replacement for fellow African star Mo Salah in the Reds’ attacking lineup.

Should he join Liverpool, Salah could serve as an ideal mentor, guiding Kudus to further refine his skills and reach new heights in his career.
