Alexis Mac Allister Provides Hints on Recovery Amid Growing Liverpool Injury Woes

Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister shared an update on his injury recovery via social media following his absence from Liverpool’s recent victory against Crystal Palace.

Having sustained a knee injury during the 2-0 triumph over Sheffield United on Wednesday, Mac Allister was unable to participate in Liverpool’s thrilling 2-1 win against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

In his absence, Ryan Gravenberch stepped into Liverpool’s midfield, contributing to Jurgen Klopp’s team securing a hard-fought three points at Selhurst Park with goals from Mohamed Salah and Harvey Elliott.

Mac Allister has been instrumental in Liverpool’s ascent to the top of the early Premier League standings, even as he adjusts to a slightly deeper role than the one where he excelled at Brighton & Hove Albion.

Nevertheless, injuries have started to accumulate for Liverpool in recent weeks. The team is optimistic that the World Cup winner’s absence will be brief as they face a demanding fixture list, navigating through six games within an 18-day span.

Following his injury at Bramall Lane, Mac Allister expressed his thoughts on social media, stating: “Everything’s fine. I got a few stitches, but I’ll bounce back soon. We keep going. Come on Liverpool.”

An Instagram post on Monday indicated that the midfielder is progressing on the path to complete recovery. In his Instagram story, Mac Allister posted a picture of himself in a relaxed state, yet with a bandage still adorning his knee.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding Mac Allister’s participation in the Reds’ Europa League encounter with Union SG on Thursday night, it is unclear whether he will be deemed fit to confront Manchester United at Anfield on Sunday.
