Goncalo Inacio Alternative: Liverpool Really Keen on “Quick and Powerful” Defender

Liverpool’s transfer window promises to be intriguing, with a new center-back prominently on their radar.

As the Reds embark on a new era under Arne Slot, the new manager is expected to seek several summer signings.

FSG and Michael Edwards are scrutinising key positions, and a common theme in reports is the pursuit of a new central defender.

Goncalo Inacio and Leny Yoro are among those linked with a move to Anfield.

However, journalist Ben Jacobs suggests that another central defender is also high on Liverpool’s agenda.

Liverpool Really Keen on Willian Pacho as Goncalo Inacio Alternative

Speaking to GiveMeSport, Jacobs mentioned that the Reds would be thrilled to sign Ecuadorian star Willian Pacho.

“At the moment, they’ve scouted Goncalo Inacio. We wait and see whether they move as it’s a big outlay,” Jacobs writes.

“Willian Pacho is the other name that Liverpool really like and he fits that young profile that could be a player for the now and for the future.”

Willian Pacho, described as a “quick and powerful” defender, has been making a notable impact in the Bundesliga this past year.

According to an exclusive report by TBR Football last month, Liverpool have shown significant interest in Pacho, having scouted him in person.

Eintracht Frankfurt are reportedly asking for around £43 million for Pacho, a sum that Liverpool can afford.

With Joel Matip likely to depart and Joe Gomez now more often playing as a full-back, there is a strong opportunity for Pacho to step in as an immediate starter.

At 22 years old, Pacho is definitely a player for Liverpool fans to watch this summer.
