The agent of Omar Marmoush, the forward for Eintracht Frankfurt, has acknowledged the speculation surrounding a potential transfer to Liverpool.
Marmoush, aged 25, has demonstrated impressive form for the Bundesliga team this season, scoring ten goals in 20 appearances thus far.
Having joined Frankfurt on a free transfer from Wolfsburg last summer, Marmoush, who had not previously scored more than five goals in a top-flight season, is experiencing his most prolific campaign as Frankfurt pursues European qualification.
Reports from Germany suggest that Marmoush’s performances have attracted interest from clubs in England, including Liverpool, who are closely monitoring the situation ahead of a potential summer transfer.
It is rumoured that Frankfurt could demand up to €50m (£42.5m) for the sale of Marmoush, who is a teammate of Mohamed Salah for the Egypt teammate.
“We Have Plans”
When questioned about the recent links, Marmoush’s agent, Michael Reschke, has heightened speculation by stating that he anticipates receiving offers from various European clubs.
He told Egyptian TV, via King Fut: “We have good plans for Marmoush. Marmoush has been delivering outstanding performances recently and a bright future awaits him. He currently has a global market, so we don’t rule out receiving offers from all over the world.
“Marmoush is greatly loved within Eintracht Frankfurt, so offers are not only expected from within Germany but from all over Europe. This isn’t a strange matter, and we should all expect it because his performance, level, and name have become like gold currency and the energy he possesses on the pitch promotes him.
“He has a completely distinctive style, his eyes are sharp, and I cannot compare him to anyone else. He is a wonderful and special player.”
Liverpool is reportedly keen on the 27-cap Egypt international, who also holds Canadian citizenship, with sources describing the Reds as ‘hot’ for him.
Additionally, it’s suggested that the forward harbors dreams of playing in England. Marmoush’s contract in Germany extends until 2027.
