Although Hincapie has not been a consistent starter under Alonso this season, Leverkusen has performed remarkably well, remaining unbeaten at the mid-point of the campaign. Despite his occasional absence from the starting lineup, Hincapie is recognised as one of the Bundesliga’s most promising defenders and has the versatility to operate as a left-back.
