BBC Pundit Suggests Liverpool Would Easily Win the League If They Acquired England International

On Saturday, if the Reds secure a victory against Arsenal, they would find themselves at the top of the league by Christmas Day.

Their ambition is to maintain this momentum and further their progress in the coming year. It remains uncertain if Liverpool will manage to distance themselves from the other contenders in the league.

However, Clinton Morrison, in a discussion on the BBC Radio Five Live Football Daily Podcast, expressed that if Liverpool had Declan Rice on their current roster, the title race might have already been decided by March.

Morrison highlighted a significant defensive midfield gap within Liverpool’s current lineup. He believes that Declan Rice would be the ideal candidate to address and fill this gap.

Morrison shared his verdict on the 24-year-old.

“They have one of the best sixes in the world at the moment with Declan Rice, he was outstanding against Brighton, he can do everything, he was very good at West Ham and he’s an outstanding player,” Morrison said.

“I have loads of mates who are Liverpool fans, and they are envious, if they had got Declan Rice, imagine that Liverpool team,” Hutchison said.

“They would’ve won it, it would’ve been over by March,” Morrison said.

Liverpool’s midfield would approach perfection with the addition of Rice.

Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai could benefit immensely from a player of Rice’s caliber supporting them in defensive tasks.

However, Liverpool’s chance to acquire Rice seems to have passed, making a move to Anfield unlikely.

Nevertheless, Liverpool might consider acquiring a player similar to the England international in the upcoming transfer windows.

It remains uncertain if Liverpool will identify a suitable replacement for that role.
