Liverpool Identify 3 Potential Signings Ahead of January Transfer Window

Liverpool have identified three potential signings in anticipation of the upcoming January transfer window, according to Football Insider.

A primary target for the Merseyside club is Maxence Lacroix, the talented defender from Wolfsburg. Additionally, Liverpool are closely monitoring Sporting Lisbon’s centre-back, Goncalo Inacio, and Sao Paulo’s defender, Lucas Beraldo.

The report claims that Liverpool intend to focus on securing a new centre-back in January, following Joel Matip’s knee injury.

The official update from the Merseyside club, posted on Wednesday on their club website, disclosed that Matip sustained an injury to his anterior cruciate ligament.

With the 32-year-old set to spend months on the sidelines, Klopp is keen on reinforcing the defensive lineup by securing a new defender in January.

Lacroix, aged 23, has been a longstanding target for Liverpool, and Klopp holds a significant admiration for the French defender.

Despite his youth, Lacroix has amassed 113 total appearances for Wolfsburg and has been a consistent starter in every Bundesliga match during the 2023/24 campaign when available.
