Liverpool Learn Asking Price for 18-goal Star Ahead of Summer Transfer Window

Liverpool are reportedly eyeing a move for Leeds United’s Crysencio Summerville.

Securing the winger could come at a hefty price, with report suggesting Liverpool may need to fork out a significant sum this summer.

Alongside Liverpool, other top clubs like Newcastle United and AC Milan are also interested in Summerville, who has been instrumental in Leeds United’s push for promotion in the Championship.

Football Transfers reports that Leeds could set a price tag of £45m for the player, the same amount Newcastle spent on acquiring England international Anthony Gordon in January 2023.

Leeds are keen to retain the 22-year-old Summerville, reportedly offering him an enhanced contract to extend his stay.

With two years left on his Elland Road contract, Leeds hope a new agreement, coupled with the allure of Premier League promotion and a prominent role, will deter summer suitors.

Despite interest from Chelsea, Aston Villa, and Arsenal, Liverpool may need to act swiftly to secure Summerville, if they are to secure him.

His recent brace over Easter showcased his impact, and with Leeds currently third in the second-tier standings, he aims to play a pivotal role in their quest for immediate promotion.

Having gained Premier League exposure last season, Summerville made 28 appearances and scored four goals during Leeds’ relegation campaign, marking a breakthrough at Elland Road.

Since his transfer from Feyenoord in September 2020, the former Netherlands under-21 international has been a valuable asset to the club.
