“Be Careful” – Man City Boss Pep Guardiola Sends Brutally Honest Liverpool Message Ahead of Anfield Clash

Wins for Liverpool and Manchester City mean that only one point separates them in the Premier League title race.

Pep Guardiola is adamant that he isn’t dwelling on Manchester City’s upcoming crucial Premier League encounter with Liverpool.

Currently, there’s only one point separating these two contemporary rivals in their quest for the title. Liverpool secured a thrilling 1-0 victory over Nottingham Forest thanks to Darwin Nunez’s header in the 99th minute. Meanwhile, City orchestrated a remarkable comeback to clinch a 3-1 win against their local adversaries, Manchester United.

The stage is now set for Liverpool to welcome City this Sunday, a fixture that could potentially determine the title’s destination.

However, before this monumental clash, Guardiola’s squad must first contend with a Champions League last 16 second leg against Copenhagen. On the other hand, the Reds are scheduled to face Sparta Prague in the Europa League last 16 first leg.

Guardiola emphasised that he would only start considering the match against Jurgen Klopp’s team at Anfield after City’s game against Copenhagen.

The head of the Etihad Stadium stated: “We have FC Copenhagen, not today, but tomorrow they will be on my mind before we talk about Liverpool,” he said.

“We have a lot of points still to play for and different places to go, that is my feeling. Arsenal here, Aston Villa and many places – for all four contenders to win the Premier League.

“But FC Copenhagen first in the Champions League. I know 1-3 is a good result but we have to be careful. We won 1-3 in Leipzig in the group stage and within 10 minutes we were 0-2 and a potential red card or a complication or whatever.
