The 5 Games That Will Define the Rest of Liverpool’s Premier League Campaign

Liverpool are top of the league but the Jurgen Klopp’s side still have several games ahead to make them favourites to clinch the title.

With that in mind, a Liverpool fan has created a thread on X where he evaluates five games and highlights how they will define the rest of Reds’ Premier League campaign.

Arsenal Away – (04 February)

Having won there in the cup only weeks only, Liverpool can feel confident ahead of this one.

A win would start to apply pressure to City, whilst finishing Arsenal’s campaign. A draw, whilst disappointing, would be palatable.

Man City at Home – (09 March)

The standout fixture.

A win, and Liverpool become strong favourites. A draw, and it is no longer in City’s hands.

This first move has already been played – Klopp announcing his departure, an extra ingredient into the cauldron.

Man Utd Away – (06 April)

Fixture congestion will aid Utd here – the lack of European football meaning they have more time training.

That said, this could benefit Liverpool, as ten Hag seems to possess coaching ability conparable to that of a fruit fly.

Spurs at Home – (04 May)

Set up to be a blockbuster, I believe this fixture will actually be a mundane affair. Spurs will be in a top 4 race, but will not be able to handle the intensity at Anfield.

The emotion will see Romero sent off inside 10 mins.

Villa Away – (11 May)

Maybe the hardest game left on paper. However, I expect Villa to be through to the Conference League final, to which they will start to shift focus.

The dispatch of them at home tells me that, if needed, we can go and win.
