Another Summer Exit Looms as Father of Liverpool Star Claims There’s No Contact for Renewal

Amid recent rumours circulating in the Brazilian media regarding Flamengo’s potential interest in acquiring Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara, a noteworthy development has surfaced today.

The revelation comes from Zinho, a World Cup winner and pundit at ESPN Brasil, who shared insights from a conversation he had with the midfielder’s father, Mazinho.

It is disclosed that Thiago Alcantara’s contract with Liverpool is set to conclude at the end of the season, creating an opportunity for Flamengo to secure his services without any transfer fee involved.

However, according to his father, there has been no communication from the Rio de Janeiro club regarding the signing. Consequently, this possibility is currently ruled out.

As for the midfielder’s future plans, initial reports suggest that he is prepared to depart in the summer. This decision stems from the fact that Liverpool have not made any contact with his representatives for a contract renewal.

Up until now, the player has only received offers from the Middle-East.
