Fabrizio Romano Says Arne Slot is “Very Happy” with “Fantastic” Liverpool Player Who’s “Almost Man of the Match in Every Game”
Liverpool have kicked off the new season impressively under the stewardship of manager Arne Slot.
The Reds have secured victories in four of their five Premier League fixtures, along with a dominant win against AC Milan in the Champions League.
Several players have been performing admirably under Slot’s guidance, with both fans and the manager expressing particular satisfaction with one standout player.
Liverpool had aimed to sign Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi during the summer transfer window, but the Spaniard declined the move to Anfield at the last moment, which disrupted the Reds’ transfer plans.
Nevertheless, midfielder Ryan Gravenberch has claimed the defensive midfield role and delivered outstanding performances for the Merseyside club, surpassing expectations.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano has reported that both Liverpool and Slot are extremely pleased with the Dutchman’s contributions so far this season.
Speaking on the Here We Go podcast, Romano praised Gravenberch and highlighted his impressive performances to date.
“Zubimendi clearly rejected Liverpool in the summer, but the deal didn’t happen because the player wanted to continue there.
“We will see what happens, but that situation remains quiet and also Liverpool and Arne Slot are very happy with Ryan Gravenberch, he is doing fantastic, he’s almost Man of the Match in every game, so for Liverpool this is the best news possible.”
The Reds were unable to secure the Zubimendi transfer, but they have managed the situation effectively this season.
Arne Slot Has Revived Gravenberch’s Career at Liverpool
Arne Slot has successfully revitalised the career of Ryan Gravenberch at Anfield. The midfielder had a challenging season under Jurgen Klopp but has since found his form.
Gravenberch is now a regular starter and has been delivering performances that have earned him praise from both fans and the media.
In contrast, Martín Zubimendi’s decision to turn down Liverpool has not been as favourable. The Spanish midfielder has been facing significant difficulties this season.
Real Sociedad, Zubimendi’s current club, are struggling in the league, sitting 16th and dangerously close to the relegation zone.
