On Thursday, James Norris and Tommy Pilling were part of the first-team session as Slot’s squad went through their paces.
Pilling, a central midfielder, has been part of the academy since an early age. At just 19, he currently features for the club’s U21 team.
Known for his defensive play, he has made 84 appearances across the club’s U21, U19, and U18 teams, with only one goal to his name.

Norris is known for his versatility on the field, being able to play in multiple positions. At just 21 years old, he has experience playing as a left-back, left-winger, and even as a central or holding midfielder.
He has already made two appearances for the club’s senior team, with additional experience during his loan spell at Tranmere Rovers.
This recent recognition marks one of his early involvements with Slot’s first team, earned after an impressive beginning to the season.
In Premier League 2 this season, Norris has already contributed with one goal and one assist in just three matches.
