Liverpool Think of Signing 16-year-old and One Other Wonderkid as Mohamed Salah Replacement – Journalist

Usually, at this stage of the season, Liverpool would be swirling with transfer rumours.

However, this year presents a slight difference from the norm. Unlike the past eight summers, Liverpool find themselves uncertain about which manager will be in charge for any potential new signings.

While these uncertainties persist, transfer speculations are gradually emerging.

One of the prominent storylines for Liverpool this summer revolves around Mohamed Salah’s future. The Egyptian star continues to be linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, potentially necessitating the Reds to find a replacement.

Replacing a legend like Salah, much like Jurgen Klopp, poses a significant challenge. Nonetheless, journalist Rudy Galetti suggests that Liverpool have some strategies in mind for addressing this issue.

Liverpool Looking to Replace Mohamed Salah

While there’s a possibility that Liverpool might seek to replace Salah from within their current squad, finding a direct replacement is challenging. It’s more probable that they’ll have to look outside the club for a suitable replacement.

Despite this uncertainty, there remains optimism that Mo Salah will reject the lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia and extend his contract with Liverpool. Such an outcome is still plausible.

However, given the ongoing ambiguity, Liverpool must begin formulating a succession strategy. According to a report by Galetti on X, Liverpool have identified two potential candidates to add to their list of potential replacements for Salah.

“Liverpool, Leroy Sane – whose contract with Bayern expires in 2025 – and Estevao, also followed by CFC and Barca for a long time – are among the possible replacements of Salah,” the journalist reports.

“As told, in the coming weeks the Saudi Arabian clubs will increase the pressure on the Egyptian player.”

Estevao Willian isn’t the first Brazilian prodigy considered as a potential successor to Salah. Another candidate from his Palmeiras team, Luis Guilherme, has also been mentioned in this regard.

Between the two, Guilherme is likely to garner more attention from Liverpool. At just 16, Estevao is unlikely to immediately break into the first team, whereas Guilherme, at 18, already has some first-team experience.

Nonetheless, Estevao’s talent is undeniable. In Brazil, he’s earned the nickname ‘Messinho,’ a testament to his skills.

Galetti notes that Estevao is attracting interest from some of Europe’s top clubs, including Chelsea. While he’s certainly one to keep an eye on, it’s doubtful that Liverpool will consider him as Salah’s direct replacement.
