Liverpool ‘Interested’ in ’15-goal’ Mohamed Salah International Teammate Amid Desire to Play in the Premier League

Liverpool have reportedly shown interest in Omar Marmoush, a talented Egypt international excelling in Germany this season.

The Mohamed Salah international teammate, 25, began his development in Germany at the age of 18 when he moved to Wolfsburg in 2016 from Egyptian side Wadi Degla.

After joining Frankfurt last summer, he has reached the pinnacle of his career so far, showcasing impressive form. He arrived at Frankfurt on a free transfer from Wolfsburg last season and has emerged as one of the standout performers in the Bundesliga this season.

With 15 goals and six assists in 32 appearances across all competitions, Marmoush has caught the attention of clubs across Europe, including Liverpool, as reported by SportBILD.

Despite having three years left on his current contract, Marmoush is being targeted by other Premier League clubs such as Arsenal, Tottenham, and Newcastle United for a potential summer transfer.

According to the German report, Frankfurt may demand a fee as high as €50m (£42.5m) for Marmoush, looking to capitalise on his remarkable breakthrough season if they decide to part ways with him in the upcoming transfer window.

While on loan at Stuttgart, where he played alongside Wataru Endo, he claimed, “My dream is to play in the Premier League. I don’t have a favourite club but I watch a lot of Arsenal and Liverpool.”

The Frankfurt star also has five goals in 29 appearances since making his debut for Egypt in 2021 and he has featured in the last two Africa Cup of Nations alongside Salah.

Perhaps the Liverpool star could be important for helping to convince him to engage in a move if the club’s interest is indeed concrete but he would arrive to compete with a very strong attacking roster at Anfield.
