Liverpool Handed Big Boost as Door Open to Sign Premier League Star After Huge Claim

Liverpool and Arsenal, alongside other clubs, have been handed boost in their quest for Fulham’s standout performer Joao Palhinha, as reported by Football Insider.

The possibility of the 28-year-old leaving has been suggested by Fulham, with vice-chairman Tony Khan’s recent statements indicating a willingness to entertain offers.

Khan confirmed the club will “have to consider” sensible offers for Palhinha and admitted there is a “huge market” for their star midfielder.

Despite signing a new contract until June 2028 in September, with Fulham retaining the option for an additional 12 months, recent reports suggest that the club are poised to demand a significant transfer fee for Palhinha.

According to Football Insider, Fulham are expecting offers in the range of £50-60 million for the player. This comes amidst apparent interest from top clubs such as Bayern Munich, Liverpool, and Arsenal.

Palhinha has participated in 28 matches across various competitions this season, contributing three goals and one assist.

Having topped the Premier League charts for tackles and interceptions last season, he is poised to replicate that achievement once more in the 2023-24 season, as Fulham find themselves comfortably clear of relegation threats.

The Portugal international made the switch to Fulham from Sporting CP for a reported fee of only £20 million in 2022, implying that the London-based club could reap substantial profits from the midfielder in the years ahead.
