Contact Made: Liverpool Make First Move to Sign £42m+ Star Likened to Khvicha Kvaratskhelia

Liverpool have made an energetic start to the transfer window and are now eyeing further additions from La Liga, according to reports.
Jeremie Frimpong has already sealed his move to Anfield, and he’s expected to be followed shortly by Florian Wirtz, who is due to undergo a medical later this week ahead of his arrival.
With the deal for the Germany international likely to break records, German football expert Raphael Honigstein has described the player as a future ‘superstar’, backing the Reds’ decision as they strengthen ahead of the upcoming season.
He stated: “He has played for Leverkusen and Germany so knows the demands that are on him, but still, he will have to adjust to the pace of the Premier League and the more physical way.
“Opponents will try to negate his influence and that might prove a challenge, but he is young enough and good enough. He is not easily intimidated and stands up strong to the challenge. You are buying a superstar.”
Milos Kerkez’s father has revealed that his son’s transfer to Liverpool is “basically a done deal”, marking yet another strong signal of intent from the Reds as they gear up to defend their Premier League crown.
In attack, Liverpool are keeping tabs on Eintracht Frankfurt forward Hugo Ekitike and Sporting’s Viktor Gyokeres, though any move for a new striker may depend on departures within the squad to clear room for a fresh number nine.
While Wirtz and Kerkez have dominated the headlines so far, Liverpool have also now opened talks over a move for a highly-rated winger.
Liverpool Make Contact to Sign Jesus Rodriguez
According to reports from Spain relayed by Sport Witness, Liverpool have approached Real Betis regarding winger Jesus Rodriguez, with Aston Villa also showing interest in the Spain Under-21 international.

Despite signing a new contract not long ago, Rodriguez has a release clause that could reach £42.75 million and is now reportedly available. The Reds have taken the initiative to contact both Betis and the player to explore the terms of a possible transfer.

Often likened to Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Rodriguez made a strong impression last season, scoring five goals and providing four assists in 44 appearances across all competitions, playing a key role in Betis’ journey to the Europa Conference League final.
Although Betis were comfortably beaten by Chelsea in the final, Rodriguez’s displays throughout the tournament and in domestic competition have attracted interest, putting him firmly on the radar of the Premier League champions.
While Liverpool are actively chasing a number of other targets, it appears they’re managing multiple negotiations simultaneously as Arne Slot shapes his squad for the upcoming campaign.
