‘It’s Coming…’ – Fabrizio Romano Says Liverpool Now Close to Another ‘Here We Go’ After Wirtz

Liverpool are reportedly edging closer to securing the signing of Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The Premier League champions are preparing for another round of direct negotiations with Bournemouth regarding the Hungarian international’s move to Anfield. Only minor details are said to remain before the transfer is finalised.
Liverpool have held renewed talks with Bournemouth this week over Kerkez and are expected to step up discussions, aiming to make him their second full-back addition of the summer.
The Merseysiders confirmed the signing of Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen last week, with the Dutch right-back penning a five-year contract as a replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Liverpool Keen on Milos Kerkez Deal
Romano, speaking on his YouTube channel, stated that Milos Kerkez is set to join Liverpool once the remaining ‘small details’ are settled in the ongoing negotiations between both clubs.
“I maintain my position, Milos Kerkez will be a Liverpool player. In this case, there are some small details to clarify with Bournemouth, but I maintain my position. I see Milos Kerkez going to Liverpool this summer.
“Then they still have to close these details. This is why, in this case, there is still no here we go, but it’s coming. I have told you several times, here we go soon. Here we go, it’s coming.
“Because it’s really a matter of small details. Let them work on these, because they had more contacts this week.
“One more round of official talks is needed, but this deal is absolutely on the right way to become a here we go for Milos Kerkez to Liverpool.”
Kerkez is poised to join Liverpool as a long-term successor to Andy Robertson, who turned 31 in March and has just one year remaining on his current deal.
The highly-rated Hungary international, widely regarded as a ‘world-class’ talent, has quickly established himself as one of the Premier League’s most promising young full-backs during his stint at Bournemouth. His move is now expected to earn the Cherries a substantial profit.
Bournemouth signed the 21-year-old from AZ Alkmaar in 2023 for approximately £15.5 million, but reports suggest Liverpool may have to pay around £40 million to secure his services.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are also nearing an agreement to sign Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz, who is expected to complete his medical at Anfield in the coming days.
