Ryan Gravenberch Makes Liverpool Transfer Decision After Real Madrid Revelation

Ryan Gravenberch has reportedly expressed no desire to leave Liverpool for Real Madrid, despite recent statements from his agent suggesting otherwise.

The Dutch midfielder has enjoyed what many consider the finest season of his young career, starting all 32 Premier League matches in a pivotal holding role as Liverpool surged toward the title.

In light of these performances, his agent Jose Fortes publicly commented on Gravenberch’s potential to play for Real Madrid.

Fortes stated that his client was “good enough” for the Spanish giants and added: “We would love for him to play for them.” However, according to Mail Sport, these remarks have been taken out of context.

The outlet claims Fortes was merely expressing a personal opinion, viewing Real Madrid as a dream club for many players, rather than indicating a planned move.

The report firmly states that Gravenberch “is going nowhere,” which will come as a welcome development for Liverpool as they look to maintain momentum.

Meanwhile, Alexis Mac Allister, who partners Gravenberch in Liverpool’s midfield, has also been linked to a potential transfer to Madrid.

Speculation intensified following comments from his father, Carlos Mac Allister, a former professional footballer whose career included a stint overlapping with Diego Maradona. His vague responses during an interview have only fuelled the rumours further.

The former Argentina international quickly retracted his earlier remarks, emphasising that Alexis remains under contract with Liverpool until 2028, is content at the club, and is expected to stay.

Liverpool have also secured Gravenberch on a contract running until 2028, and there have been few indications that the Dutch midfielder is seeking a move away from the successful setup.

The ex-Ajax and Bayern Munich player has also developed a strong rapport with manager Arne Slot. “The coach gives me confidence and sets me up,” he told ESPN earlier this season.

“I have a good bond with him and I’m very happy he’s here. We think in the same way. He likes football and building up from the back. That suits me super well too.”
