Arne Slot Could ‘Offload’ Two Liverpool Players in Overhaul of Attack as Midfielder Suffers Injury Setback

Liverpool are set to continue their FA Cup campaign as they travel to face Championship side Plymouth Argyle on Sunday afternoon.

The Reds secured a convincing 4-0 victory over Accrington Stanley in the third round at Anfield and will be aiming to replicate that performance at Home Park this time around.

But of course, you were already aware of that, weren’t you?

Here, Newsnow takes a look at some of the latest Liverpool stories you may have missed over the weekend.

Liverpool Set for Huge Summer Overhaul as Two Exits Planned

Liverpool are reportedly set to revamp their attacking options this summer, with Arne Slot considering the departure of two forwards.

According to Anfield Watch, both Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota could be on their way out of Anfield at the end of the season, with reports suggesting the duo have “frustrated” Slot during the campaign.

Diaz was among Liverpool’s standout performers in the early stages of the season but now appears to have fallen behind Gakpo in the selection order.

Jota, on the other hand, has struggled with injuries, managing just seven Premier League starts throughout the campaign.

As a result, reports indicate that Slot may decide to part ways with both players once the season concludes.

Liverpool Midfielder Suffers Injury Blow

Liverpool loanee Stefan Bajcetic endured a setback after picking up an injury during his first start for La Liga side Las Palmas on Saturday.

Following the early termination of his loan spell at RB Salzburg, the midfielder secured a move to the Spanish club last week for the remainder of the season.

However, his debut was cut short as he was forced off after 78 minutes in Las Palmas’ 2-1 loss to Villarreal on Saturday night.

After the game, head coach Diego Martinez said: “Like Stefan, they are players who, for one reason or another, have not trained for a long time and have not had continuity in training.

“In principle, they are normal overloads that have gone up in the femoral muscles, but they have to wait, although it’s as if nothing had happened.”
