‘I Just Have a Feeling’: Chris Sutton Names Who’ll Drop Points as Liverpool Take on Bournemouth in the PL This Weekend
Chris Sutton has forecasted that Arne Slot’s Liverpool side will suffer a defeat in the Premier League this weekend.
Liverpool currently lead the Premier League standings with 53 points from 22 matches.
Slot’s team holds a six-point advantage over second-placed Arsenal, who have played one game more.
The Reds have been beaten only once in the league this season and have secured victory in each of their last four matches.
On Saturday afternoon, Liverpool will face Bournemouth away at the Vitality Stadium in a Premier League clash.
Bournemouth sit just one point outside the final UEFA Champions League spot and have emerged victorious in three of their last four league encounters.
Ex-Chelsea forward and BBC Sport pundit Chris Sutton has predicted that Bournemouth will claim a 2-1 victory over Liverpool.
Sutton wrote on BBC Sport: “His (Slot’s) players will be well rested for this game but I just have a feeling about Bournemouth at the moment.
“The Cherries are depleted by injuries, and you cannot discount Mohamed Salah winning it for Liverpool the way he has done so many times before.
“But Andoni Iraola’s side have already beaten Arsenal and Manchester City here this season, as well as Forest and Newcastle, and they have taken as many points as Liverpool – 22 – in their past 10 matches.
“My first thought was to go for a 2-2 draw but then I was reminded of the pledge I made last week to be braver and back Bournemouth more.
“That helped me to be right about them beating Forest, so I don’t really have much choice but to carry on being brave, do I?
“Sutton’s prediction: 2-1.”

Bournemouth have been outstanding this season. Alongside Nottingham Forest, they have emerged as one of the biggest surprises in the Premier League campaign.
Despite their impressive performances, Liverpool are expected to have enough quality to secure all three points against Bournemouth, even at the Vitality Stadium.
Although the Merseyside club suffered a defeat to PSV in the Netherlands during their UEFA Champions League fixture on Wednesday evening, Slot made several changes to the squad, having already guaranteed qualification for the Round of 16.
Mohamed Salah is currently in exceptional form and continues to find the back of the net with ease.
The Egyptian forward has netted 19 goals and provided 13 assists in 22 Premier League matches this season.
Liverpool also boast a solid defensive lineup, with key defender Virgil van Dijk returning to his peak performance levels.
Last weekend, the Reds delivered a dominant display by thrashing West Ham United 5-0 at London Stadium in the Premier League.
Liverpool’s current league form is formidable, and while Bournemouth are a resilient side, it is difficult to imagine the Merseyside club failing to claim victory against the Cherries.
