Mohamed Salah’s New Liverpool Contract Claim Made After Club “Caved to Demands”

A former Egypt international has made a bold claim that Mohamed Salah has agreed to a new contract with Liverpool.

Haytham Farouk, a former Egypt star, has ignited excitement among Liverpool supporters by sharing news that Salah has signed a fresh deal with the club.

Salah’s current contract is set to expire at the end of the season, which would make him eligible to leave as a free agent. Previously, the prolific forward revealed that Liverpool’s management had not presented him with a new offer.

Since that revelation, Salah has displayed exceptional form under manager Arne Slot. His contributions include an assist and a penalty goal against Manchester City, followed by another assist and a brace in an exhilarating draw with Newcastle.

This impressive run of performances has intensified calls for Liverpool to meet Salah’s contract demands. Notably, pundit Jamie Carragher has reversed his earlier stance on the matter, now supporting efforts to secure Salah’s future with the club.

It appears Liverpool may have acted on these calls. Farouk recently took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to congratulate Salah on reportedly signing a new contract.

In a post featuring a throwback photo with the forward, Farouk suggested that the ‘Egyptian King’ has successfully secured favorable terms in the negotiations.

His message read: “Congratulations on renewing your contract with the number you like and the period you want. The Egyptian king rules with his own judgments.”

Haytham Farouk, a respected commentator for beIN Sports, enjoys a close relationship with Mohamed Salah. On December 4, he shared an intriguing tweet that coincided with Liverpool’s thrilling 3-3 draw against Newcastle.

In the match, Salah’s two goals brought his Premier League tally for the season to 13, helping Liverpool secure the top spot in the table. After the game, manager Arne Slot expressed optimism about Salah potentially committing to a longer stay at Anfield.

“We are hoping and expecting he can continue this for a long time,” Slot expressed. “He was outstanding in the second half, he did many special things for us.”

“I have seen many games of last season but it is always difficult to judge a player if you are not there. What I did most was [look at] style of play and team performance and not that much the individual performance.

“What I noticed from the start, when he came in [in preseason was] how fit he was, how ready he was to make it a very good season for him. That he led by example from the first day onwards in preseason where so many of his teammates who he usually plays with.

“So the international players, were not there and to still be able to work that hard, he did, and train so hard: yeah, and then we all saw the quality in the training sessions. So it’s not a surprising thing for me that he’s done so well until now.”
