Unbelievable Transfer Report Suggests Liverpool Willing to Sell Key Player to Secure Aurelien Tchouameni
The latest transfer update reveals Ryan Gravenberch as the subject of a questionable transfer rumour, while Liverpool are reportedly linked with a move for Atalanta midfielder Ederson.
Report suggest that Liverpool are prepared to compete with Manchester United and Manchester City for the signature of the 25-year-old Atalanta star.
Ederson has been a standout performer for Atalanta in Serie A this season, catching the attention of several top clubs with his impressive displays.
The Brazilian midfielder played a key role in Atalanta’s Europa League-winning campaign last season. This term, he has remained a pivotal figure, contributing to the team’s strong start, which sees them currently sitting in second place in Serie A.
Sources claim that both Manchester clubs have engaged in discussions with Ederson’s representatives. Similarly, Liverpool are reported to have held talks with the player, who is believed to be keen on a move to the Premier League.
According to TeamTalk, Atalanta would require a minimum offer of $63 million to part ways with Ederson during the January transfer window.
The club are understandably reluctant to lose a key player midway through a season in which it is performing exceptionally well.
With Ederson’s contract running until 2027, Atalanta is under no immediate pressure to sell, placing the club in a strong negotiating position.
In contrast, a separate report, published on Thursday, suggests a less credible rumour involving Liverpool. The claim alleges that the Reds are prepared to offer Ryan Gravenberch plus cash to secure Aurelien Tchouameni, although this story is being treated with skepticism.
The often unreliable Fichajes (which may cause many to stop reading) claims that Aurelien Tchouameni has failed to meet Real Madrid’s expectations since his 2022 move to the Bernabeu. As a result, the report suggests there is interest within the club in offloading him.
According to the report, Liverpool would need to pay Real Madrid a fee ranging from $21 million to $32 million and include Ryan Gravenberch in the deal to make a transfer for Tchouameni possible.
However, the likelihood of such a deal materialising appears to be extremely low. Liverpool fans can rest assured that the Dutch midfielder is unlikely to depart the club anytime soon.
