Liverpool Handed Major Injury Boost as Arne Slot Confirms Player’s Return to Training

Liverpool are set to travel to the Amex Stadium to face Brighton in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night.

Both teams have lost only one match in all competitions this season, setting the stage for what promises to be an exciting encounter.

The Reds approach this game after a hard-fought 2-2 draw with Arsenal in the Premier League. Meanwhile, Brighton also recorded a 2-2 draw, this time against Wolves.

Ahead of the match, Arne Slot has provided an update on the team, bringing encouraging news for Liverpool supporters.

The Reds’ manager confirmed that right-back Conor Bradley has returned to training and may be included in the squad for the game against Brighton.

Diogo Jota has missed the last two games due to a rib injury and is not expected to return until after the upcoming international break. Alisson, Federico Chiesa, and Harvey Elliott are also sidelined with injuries.

“Conor [Bradley] is training with us again so maybe he could be in the squad [for Wednesday’s trip to Brighton in the EFL Cup],” Slot said.

“Jota not, Alisson not, Harvey Elliott not and Federico [Chiesa] not.”

Bradley sustained an injury while on international duty and has not played since.

The 21-year-old has seen limited action in the Premier League this season, with only 75 minutes of play, but did complete the full 90 minutes in the recent League Cup match against West Ham.

Recognised as one of the club’s most promising young talents, Bradley’s return is a major boost for the Reds.

With Trent Alexander-Arnold in need of rest, Slot has the option to field Bradley without compromising the squad’s quality.

It remains to be seen, however, if Bradley is fully fit to start. If not, Slot may opt for Joe Gomez, with Jarrell Quanssah also a possible candidate.

Slot has already hinted at squad rotation for this match, and Wataru Endo is expected to start in midfield.
