Striker With Better Record Than Harry Kane “Dreams” of Liverpool Move Despite Interest from PL Rival

Eintracht Frankfurt star Omar Marmoush is reportedly more interested in joining Liverpool or Arsenal over West Ham United, according to a German journalist.

Marmoush has made an impressive start to the season, showcasing his versatility as a forward by scoring seven goals and providing five assists in just eight matches for Frankfurt.

His outstanding performance has placed him at the top of the Bundesliga’s scoring chart, even ahead of Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane, attracting attention from several Premier League teams.

Liverpool Premier League rival West Ham are among the clubs showing interest in signing Marmoush. However, Bild journalist Christian Falk has suggested that the 25-year-old Egyptian forward would prefer a move to Liverpool or Arsenal.

“West Ham are in need of a young striker and, in the end, their ability to sign Omar Marmoush will come down to a question of money,” he told CaughtOffside.

“Frankfurt are not prepared to sell the player in January, however, and have set a €40-50m (up to £41.9m / US$54.8m) price tag for the next summer window.

“Smaller clubs like Nottingham Forest – who unsuccessfully bid €30m (£25.1m / US$32.9m) this summer – and Fulham, who did hold interest in the player in the prior window, were ultimately not considered viable options for Marmoush to leave Frankfurt behind. That said, West Ham would have a chance next summer.

“Though, it shouldn’t go unsaid that Marmoush still dreams of playing for top Premier League clubs like Liverpool or Arsenal.

“I don’t think, at the moment, he’s a striker made for the ‘big six’ in England, but West Ham would be a perfect club for him. Meanwhile, he’s performing very well in Germany and tops the Bundesliga scoring chart ahead of Harry Kane.”

England the Likely Next Destination for Marmoush

The Egypt international looks poised for a move to the Premier League once he concludes his time at Frankfurt.

Tottenham have been linked with him multiple times, along with Liverpool, Nottingham Forest, and Fulham.

In September, TEAMtalk reported that Marmoush is eager to secure a Premier League move in 2025. This has now been confirmed by Falk.

Marmoush shares a connection with Liverpool, as he aspires to follow in the footsteps of his fellow Egyptian, Mo Salah, by making a name for himself at Anfield.

There is also a possibility that the Bundesliga forward could be Salah’s replacement at Liverpool, considering his versatility and the fact that Paris Saint-Germain is interested in Salah.

However, Falk notes that Marmoush may not yet be at the level required to score consistently for a top-tier club like Liverpool or Arsenal.

A move to West Ham could serve as a stepping stone, allowing the 32-cap international to adapt to English football and prove his abilities in the Premier League. However, West Ham would first need to persuade Marmoush that they are the best fit for the next stage of his career.
