Journalist Confirms Exciting Liverpool Player’s Position for the 2024/25 Season

Liverpool have a lot of players who are capable of playing on the right wing, and reports suggest that the club views Federico Chiesa as a potential backup for Mohamed Salah.

Chiesa’s arrival at Liverpool would provide something that Jurgen Klopp has never had before: genuine competition for Salah.

However, it’s not about pushing Salah to perform better, as his record speaks for itself with over 200 goals and nearly 100 assists for Liverpool. What this move would allow is giving Salah some much-needed rest.

No matter how fit Salah is, every player above the age of 30 requires more recovery time, especially considering the physical demands of competing in both the Premier League and the Champions League.

James Pearce suggests that while Chiesa might be a starter for most English teams, he is seen more as a squad player.

Speaking on the Walk On podcast, Pearce also mentioned that Chiesa would be vying for a spot in the starting lineup alongside Salah.

“And, you know, Slot wanted six senior options across the front line, and he’s now got that.”

Even more impressively, he ensured that his departure wouldn’t mark the end but instead opened the door to a promising new era, which might stand as his greatest accomplishment as Liverpool’s manager.
