Liverpool Position in the Premier League Table Without VAR Compared to Man City, Arsenal and Others

How would the current Premier League table look without the influence of VAR?

The Premier League will take a brief pause until next weekend as the first set of international fixtures interrupts the season.

Sixteen players from Liverpool’s first team have been called up to represent their countries at the senior level following their commanding 3-0 victory over Manchester United on Sunday.

Liverpool have had a strong start to their season, standing level on points with Manchester City. Notably, they are the only team in the league that has yet to concede a goal.

Although only three games into the season, VAR has already drawn attention due to some of its decisions.

Manchester United, in particular, faced frustration after a disallowed goal cost them a point against Brighton and Hove Albion, before suffering a defeat to Liverpool.

Alejandro Garnacho believed he had given Manchester United a 2-1 lead, but VAR determined that the ball had made contact with an offside Joshua Zirkzee before crossing the line.

Brighton subsequently scored a last-minute goal to secure the win. As a result, Erik ten Hag’s team now sits 14th in the table, with only three points out of a possible nine.
