Andy Robertson Makes Feelings Clear on Liverpool Teammate Amid Transfer Uncertainty
Mohamed Salah has yet to sign a new contract with Liverpool, with his current deal set to expire next June. However, Andy Robertson is eager for the Egyptian forward to remain at the club.
Andy Robertson has voiced his strong support for his teammate Mohamed Salah, emphasising that the forward’s significance to Liverpool cannot be overstated.
As Salah prepares to lead Liverpool’s attack at Old Trafford in the next chapter of their rivalry with Manchester United, his impressive record is evident.
Salah has scored more goals against Manchester United than any other team, highlighting why he is considered vital.
At 32 years old, Salah continues to impress. While contract negotiations remain a pressing issue as his current agreement approaches its end, his performance on the field remains exceptional, according to Robertson.
“I think Mo’s goals, assists and all-round play speak for themselves – and we hope it continues in the future. He is a big-game player.
“In the biggest games, Mo always shows up and comes up with something. He has always done that against our big – rivals and we hope that continues this season.
“The minute Mo walked through the door he set Anfield alight – but he’s also set other stadiums alight. He is a Premier League legend, of course he is, but he is still wanting to write a few more stories.”
Mohamed Salah has found the net in both of Liverpool’s Premier League victories this season against Ipswich and Brentford. Robertson also commented:
“You know when a big game is on the horizon, but Mo sets standards every single day. He is a model professional and if any kids are looking at professionals to base themselves on, then Mohamed Salah is not a bad person to do it to.
“Every single day he dedicates his life to football. You can see the shape he’s in. He is getting better with age in terms of his shape and his physical output and attributes. That is credit to him. We hope that continues because obviously he is our main man.”
