Report: Liverpool Readying £55m Bid for Former Real Madrid Player Compared to Lionel Messi

Liverpool have maintained a low profile in the transfer window so far, with no new signings or player sales.

The Reds possess a robust squad and are likely aiming to make a few additions rather than undergoing a major overhaul.

Liverpool have been linked with several defenders and midfielders to replace Joel Matip and Thiago Alcantara, who left Anfield on free transfers.

Despite the attacking department not being a priority, questions about Mohamed Salah’s long-term future and the need for a successor persist.

In May, Salah indicated his intention to stay for the upcoming season, telling The Independent that he plans to “fight like hell” for more silverware in 2024/25.

However, with his contract set to expire at the end of the season, his future at the club remains uncertain.

It is also uncertain whether Liverpool might choose to sell Salah this summer amidst interest from Saudi clubs.

According to a report from Japan, Liverpool have reportedly prepared an offer for a player who could potentially replace Salah in the long term.
