‘What I Want’ – Liverpool ‘Target’ with £43m Release Clause Sends Clear Summer Instruction to Agent

Nico Williams, who has been linked with Liverpool, has admitted he is uncertain about his future.

The winger had an outstanding 2023-24 season with Athletic Bilbao. He scored eight goals and provided 19 assists in 37 appearances, helping Lehoiak finish fifth in La Liga and secure the Copa del Rey.

Williams‘ impressive performance has naturally attracted the attention of several top European clubs. Liverpool are among those reportedly interested, as they may be seeking a new forward in the summer transfer window.

Additionally, Williams has been mentioned as a potential long-term successor to Mo Salah, whose contract at Anfield expires next year.

Barcelona have been suggested as Williams’ dream destination, although the club may struggle to meet his wage demands.

Furthermore, Williams has a reported £43 million release clause in his contract. Arsenal and Newcastle United are also among the clubs linked with him.

While currently on duty with Spain at Euro 2024, Williams has stated that his focus is solely on achieving success in Germany. He has instructed his agent to withhold any transfer news until after the tournament.
